Executions in 2018: min. 690 plus 'thousands' in China

Offers for schools

Members of the German Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty around Germany have offered to visit classes in schools and talk to interested students about the death penalty. For example in the Rhein-Main-area, our member Gabi Uhl visits schools – see details here:

– for all other regions please send us a request via e-mail.

The German Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty in co-operation with Amnesty International Hamburg produced a 23-minute documentary about the death penalty which is fit to be used in schools and for working with juveniles. You can order the documentary for a small contribution towards costs.

More information on the documentary and other ideas for working at schools can be found here.

There are still 58 countries and territories which keep capital punishment in their law and carried out executions in the past 10 years, among these countries are also the USA and Japan.

We want to give you a short overview over the death penalty world-wide here.
